Terms of Use

Al Tarab is an Arabic music learning service operated by SoftSim. It is delivered as a web application (altarab.ai), companion mobile applications for iOS and Android, and APIs that power both. By using the service you agree to these Terms.

Some features require a free account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

The Practice Studio launcher offers Tuner, Metronome, Songs and Karaoke free of charge to all users. Other tools — Oud Simulator, Maqam Explorer, Maqam Comparison, Scores, Beat Oud Practice, Solfege, Sheet Music Scribe, and Follow Me — are professional-tier tools available as one-time in-app unlocks. An “All Tools” bundle is also offered.

On iOS, purchases are processed by Apple via in-app purchase. On Android, purchases are processed by Google Play. On the web, purchases are processed by Stripe. Each tool unlock is a one-time purchase tied to your Altarab account. Optional Pro Updates subscriptions are billed separately. After successful purchase, the unlocked tool is available indefinitely on every device where you sign in to the same account.

You can restore prior purchases at any time using the “Restore purchases” button in the launcher footer or in any unlock sheet.

Pro Updates is an optional web subscription for holders of a permanent tool license: CAD $4.99 per month or CAD $39 per year, billed in advance, plus applicable taxes. It renews automatically at the selected interval until cancelled. Use Manage subscription on the pricing page to cancel before the next renewal or update payment details.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Purchased tools, personal scores and material earned through your paid period remain available; cancellation never clears your retained content date. New premium material requires further paid coverage. Essential bug fixes remain included for tool owners. AI conversion, transcription and personal tuition are separate services and are not unlimited subscription benefits.

Refunds are handled by the platform that processed your payment. For Apple App Store purchases, refunds are governed by Apple’s policy and may be requested through your Apple account. For Google Play purchases, refunds are governed by Google’s policy. For Stripe (web) purchases, contact us within 14 days of purchase at the email below.

You agree not to attempt to circumvent purchase verification, redistribute paid content, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftSim disclaims liability for indirect or consequential damages.

We may update these Terms. The latest version is always available at altarab.ai/legal/terms. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
